a) Bernoulli Principle Apparatus
General Description

The Bernoulli principle apparatus has been designed to help the student verify the Bernoulli principle via a venture nozzle and a comprehensive set of measuring instruments being a 6 tube manometer, pitot tube and a single tube manometer.
The apparatus has been designed to be accommodated on the top working surface of the fluid mechanics bench.
Water can be supplied from the bench in addition to the flow rate being measured via the flow meter of the bench.
Also the water supply can be attained by other suitable means such as mains water.

• Apparatus incorporating axially movable Pitot tube for calculating total pressure distribution within the Venturi nozzle

b) Pipe Network Apparatus
General Description

The pipe network apparatus has been designed to help the fluid mechanics student investigate the pressure loss across elements of a pipe network, and the effect of flow velocity on pressure loss.
The apparatus features 2 manometers for calculating pressure loss across elements of the network by connection of hoses to annular chambers across the elements.
The apparatus could be accommodated on the top working surface of the fluid mechanics bench for water supply/drain and measuring of flow rate.
Additionally the flow rate could be determined via instrumental fitting to the network such as venturi nozzle, orifice plate flow meter or measuring nozzle.
