The educational unit (BSB111) is designed to introduce the student to ABS braking system of a real vehicle with all of its mechanisms and components. All parts are fixed and connected to each other to allow the trainee to understand the operation method of the anti-lock braking system. The educational unit is supplied with a PC to simulate the various operation conditions of ABS system.
- The educational unit is mounted on a safe, opened and robust frame to enable trainees to visualize clearly the components and the operation method of the real ABS-ESP-TCS brake system.
- The front panel includes the control panel that contains Emergency switch, educational unit ON/OFF operation switch, ignition switch, vacuum pump operation ON/OFF switch, electric motors operation switch and wheels speed control knob, in addition to the brake pedal and the screen PC.
- The front panel also includes a schematic diagram for the electrical connections of the ABS module.
- The schematic diagram for the electrical connections of the ABS is equipped with fuses box, Knobs to control the speed of each wheel, and indication LEDs, in addition to safety terminals to conduct the required connections and measurements for the experiments.
- The rear panel contains the digital displays section, the schematic diagram of the ABS system and the schematic diagram of the ABS hydraulic circuit.
- The digital displays section contains the digital displays of front right wheel speed, rear right wheel speed, front Left wheel speed, rear left wheel speed and vacuum power booster pressure.
- The digital displays section also contains oil pressure gauges of front right brake, rear right brake, front left brake and rear left brake flow gauge for the pump.
- The middle part of the educational unit demonstrates the real components of the ABS system to show how the brake works at the moment of using it.
- The real components are four wheels, ABS module, vacuum power booster, master cylinder, brake oil reservoir, four electric motors, four cylinders that simulates asphalt, speed sensors, abs sensors, couplings, front abs gears and calipers.
- The wheels are rotated using four electric motors to simulate the effect of the car's engine.
- Each wheel is connected to an axle, deferential gear set and acceleration unit
- The trainer also includes CAN - BUS system
- A cylinder is installed under each wheel to simulate the effect of wheels friction with the road asphalt.
- The educational unit is equipped with a traction control device.
- The educational unit is provided with a brake pedal.
- Beside the electric and hydraulic control of ABS, the trainer is supplied with the main control unit ECU.
- The trainer has a capability of activation or deactivation of ABS, TCS (Traction control system) and ESP.
- The trainer performs a real vehicle with and without ABS, TCS and ESP.
- The unit is equipped with a computer equipped with an interactive software that can simulate the operation of ABS under various conditions.
- Each component has its labeled name.
- The labeled names are printed to the educational unit using the ultra violet technology.
- The educational unit is supplied with measuring terminals to perform connection, measurement and testing processes.
