The Ackermann Steering Mechanism Training System (DN – 012) is an educational unit that the trainees can use to investigate the steering geometry according to Ackermann (Ackermann’s steering principle). Using this training system, the student can be used to study a steering trapezoid and how to calculate the relative steering angle or steering error.

  • The training system consists of two track rods attached with a drag link, two-track arms, two steering pins, and wheels.
  • The components are mounted on a base plate.
  • Using this training system, the students be able to verify Ackermann’s steering principle.
  • The training system allows the trainees to know how to calculate the difference between the two angles of the inside wheel or the outside wheel and steering error.
