The determination of gear efficiency trainer is designed to investigate the mechanical efficiency of different gears and compare between them. The trainer is composed of drive motor, mechanical brake, electromagnetic brake, worm and bevel gears.
- The trainer is a complete test system with control unit, drive and brake units and two different gears.
- The trainer is composed of a working frame with slots to assemble and disassemble any system on it in easy way.
- Driving and braking power are calculated to determine the efficiencies.
- The drive motor equipped is a 3-phase induction motor, 1.5 horsepower, 3000 rpm with variable speed via frequency converter.
- The drive motor speed can be adjusted using motor speed knob, the speed is automatically displayed on the digital display.
- A proximity sensor is attached to the drive motor to measure motor speed and displays it (in rpm).
- The load cell attached to the drive motor, mechanical brake and mechanical brake measures the drive / brake force in kilogram force.
- A mechanical Brake is available with spring attached to adjust braking level.
- A bevel gear with transmission ratio 4.2, and a worm gear with transmission ratio 10 are available to be tested.
- The characteristic properties of the gear are adapted to the performance of the motor.
- The control unit is composed of on/off switch, emergency button, drive motor socket, speed sensor socket, drive load cell socket and brake load cell socket.
- The control unit also contains motor speed control knob, motor on/ff switch, motor speed digital display, exciting current display, and drive / brake force display.
- Flexible couplings connect the gear to the drive motor and the brake.
- The trainer is equipped with different screws and nuts to attach any unit on the working frame.
