This kit introduces trainees to wide range of lighting related modules in order to interpret and carryout wide range of experiments. With combing with the electrical installations frame and mixing and matching modules, the trainee will be able to perform experiments and investigate the creation of lighting systems.

                                     
  • The training kit consists of up to 13 modules which can be mixed and matched to carryout various lighting experiments.
  • All of the modules contain power supply terminals and earthing terminals to receive power from the main frame.
  • Using this kit, trainees will acquire knowledge regarding electrical wiring and lighting circuit designing and forming.
  • The kit contains conventional sockets. This module contains a two non-earthed socket and one earthed socket.
  • Multiway switches module is provided which contains two-gang one-way switch, as well as a three-gang one-way switch.
  • Conventional ballast is also included since the ballast is a small device wired to the light’s circuitry which restricts the amount of electrical current travelling through it.
  • Electronic ballast module is provided which relies on power electronic circuit to start the fluorescent lamp. This module contains two electronic ballasts: fluorescent electronic ballast and low voltage electronic ballast.
  • A module that contains a pair of two-way switches and a pair of intermediate switches is provided to allow for more lighting related experiments.
  • Rotary dimmer module is provided which contains a two-way dimmer switch. This dimmer has the ability to turn ON/OFF the bulb as well as dim the intensity
  • Incandescent lamp module is included in the kit. This module contains two lamps that operate on 220VAC. This lamp is dimmable and can be dimmed using the rotary dimmer.
  • Plug in compact fluorescent lamp module is included of type PL and a dedicated magnetic ballast. The lamp cannot be operated without a ballast.
  • Two halogen lamps are included in one module. One 220V halogen lamp and a single low voltage halogen lamp.
  • Four 60cm fluorescent lamps are included in one module that can be mixed and matched in lighting experiments.
  • Metal halide lamp is included, the MH lamp itself is built with two main sections -- the outer bulb and the inner arc tube.
  • Sodium vapor lamp module is included in the kit which contains a mixture of xenon, sodium and mercury.
  • High discharge lamp auxiliary module is supplied. This module contains of one electronic ignitor and a magnetic ballast.
  • The modules are well protected in a provided kit to protect against wear and deterioration.
