The thermal radiation trainer is a mountable benchtop educational unit which is designed to investigate heat transfer through radiation and the laws governing radiation heat transfer as well.

                                     
  • The unit consists of A blackbody emitter, a thermopile, a light source, lux meter, absorption plates, infrared temperature indicator, color filters, apertures, carriages and control & display unit.
  • The unit contains carriages to mount any external devices necessary for the experiments in an easy and quick way.
  • The light direction can be adjusted by adjusting the light source angle using the protractor.
  • The unit has 3 color filters: red, green and infrared.
  • The luxmeter can be used to measure the luminance.
  • The thermopile can be used to measure the radiation capacity.
  • The blackbody emitter and the thermopile can be used to investigate thermal radiation.
  • The light source and the luxmeter can be used to investigate visible radiation.
  • The absorption plate and reflection plate which are fitted with temperature sensors can be used to investigate Kirchhoff's laws.
  • The intensity of thermal radiator and light sources are adjustable.
