The Aero-vehicle Trainer is a benchtop educational unit that introduces trainees to the fundamental of controls, and aerospace concepts are introduced with applications. The device’s dynamic response can be safely controlled by the operator and is propelled by two rotors. The unit can abstract several aeronautical systems, including half-quadrotor, 1-DOF, and 2-DOF helicopters, thanks to interchangeable propellers, user-adjustable thrust vectors, and the ability to lock axes separately.

  • The Aero-vehicle trainer introduces the fundamentals of controls, and aerospace concepts are introduced with applications.
  • A built-in data acquisition device, an integrated amplifier with an integrated current sensor, and an optional QFLEX 2 interface panel
  • The trainer contains connectivity choices for a variety of devices, including PCs, embedded computers, and microcontrollers, which are all included in the small base.
  • One Inertial measurement unit (IMU) and four high-resolution optical encoders can be employed to measure and regulate attitude in the pitch and yaw axes.
