BEDO offers four different experimental modules (MPLC103) that can be connected to S7-1200 or S7-1500 brain systems which are logic gate module, sensors and actuators module, 7-segment module, and traffic module. Each modules introduces trainees to different application on PLC systems grading in difficulty from beginner & intermediate applications and all the way up to advanced and more complex applications. Using these experimental modules, trainees will be able to link the theoretical knowledge with the practical application and hence, enhancing trainees’ skills.

  • Logic Gates Module (MPLC103.1)
    • The logic gate training module aims at demonstration and elaboration of different gates and their function.
    • Trainees will be able to construct logic gates and derive the truth table of each one.
    • This module is supplied with a power socket to feed the case with power from the laboratory source and emergency switch.
    • The module is supplied with gates of 4 AND, 2 OR, 4 NAND, 2 NOT, 2 XOR, 2 SR Flip-Flop and 2 RS Flip-Flop
    • The module is equipped with switches as in-puts and indications LEDS as outputs.
    • This module can be operated without the need of connection to a PLC brain system.
    • More experiments can be created and done depending on the user desire.
  • Sensors and Actuators Module (MPLC103.2)
    • The sensors and actuators training module elaborates different types of sensors’ functions and their connections to PLC unit.
    • Power can be transferred from the main unit to this module through the provided power cable port.
    • The module is also supplied with 50-Pin
D- Sub Socket to receive digital inputs and outputs and 25-Pin D-Sub Socket to transfer analogue inputs and outputs to the applications modules from the main case.
    • The module can be used to control the speed of DC motor and to stop it after a specific number of rotations, using relays, control the brightness of a lamp, to control a solenoid valve using a pressure sensor and temperature sensor.
  • 7-Segement Module (MPLC103.3)
    • The 7-segement training module elaborates the construction of calculator using PLC system.
    • The module is also supplied with 50-Pin D-Sub Socket to transfer digital inputs and outputs from the main case.
    • The module is equipped with a keypad to enter the numbers, eight 7-segments screens, four of them for the input numbers to be calculated and the other four are for the output numbers and switches to enter the mathematical operation needed like summation, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and di-vision, in addition to equal switch to get the output number.
  • Traffic Module (MPLC103.4)
    • The traffic training module simulates a full traffic and pedestrian system. The module also elaborates a specific traffic function used in case of accidents and VIP per-sons.
    • The module is also supplied with 50-Pin
D- Sub Socket to transfer digital inputs and outputs from the main case.
    • The module is equipped with a schematic diagram of a crossways with four traffic lights for the ways and four lights for the pedestrian orders.
    • Depending on the time programming of the cars to pass, after that period of time is finished, the lights turn into yellow for holding for three seconds, then green lights for passengers are on for a period of time.
    • The pedestrian order lights are used to allow passengers to cross the road before the allowed time of car passing is finished after a specific number of pushing the pedestrian order button.
    • The module is also equipped with a switch to stop cars passing through all ways in case of emergency.
