DC motor application module introduce the characteristics of the DC motor and how to operate it with PLC, the trainees will be familiar with DC motor and its components and be able to deal with it and learn how to control its speed using pulse width modulation and position control of the DC motor with the integration of optical encoder and PLC controller. This module comes as an add-on to the brain S7-1200.

  • The trainer enables students to practice the speed and position control of DC motor. On its own, the trainer can be used for motion control.
  • The trainer introduces the DC motor and how to operate it in different applications.
  • The student will be familiar with DC motor and its components and be able to deal with it by using the PLC.
  • The trainer consists of an electric DC motor, electrical encoder and travelling unit.
  • The system is equipped with emergency button, power switch, and on/off switch.
