Forces in a simple bar structure training system (SM – 013) can be used to help trainees to determine the resolution of forces in a simple bar and calculate bar forces using the method of joints.

  • The training system introduces trainees to know the measurement of bar forces by the method of joints.
  • The training system consists of three bars that are joined together by disks.
  • The joints are moving free along an adjustable bar that can be constructed with different angles.
  • The bars are connected with the disks by using snap-lock, two of the node disks form the supports which are clamped to the sturdy aluminum section frame.
  • the upper node disk has external load which is applied to it by weights.
  • Bar forces which occurring are measured by the distortion of leaf spring object in the middle of the bar.
  • The parts of the experiment are securely housed in a storage system.
