A stand-Alone educational trainer allows students to visualize typical BEW shell and tube heat exchanger to investigate all of its related maintenance. Trainees will get familiar with such systems through getting acquainted with heat exchanger types, function, design parameters, maintenance and installation within systems. Trainees will also get introduced to all of the tables and graphs regarding heat exchanger design focusing on BEW type. In addition, trainees will get a better understanding of heat transfer field and its application to heat exchanger.

  • The heat exchanger trainer offers an authentic hands-on experience to learners by featuring real industrial components.
  • It is designed in a benchtop scale and mounted on a sturdy frame, ensuring durability and stability during training sessions.
  • The system is based on a shell and tube heat exchanger that mirrors the size and specifications of industrial counterparts.
  • The components have been modified and flanged specifically for educational purposes.
  • The key components of the system include a carbon steel shell, copper tubes, brass tube sheet, and carbon steel cross-baffles.
  • These elements closely resemble those found in real industrial heat exchangers.
  • The system also incorporates various connections and fittings, such as a 2" Flanged tube side connection, 2" Half-coupling, shell side connection, 3/4" Half-coupling vents and drains, and steel elliptical flanged heads.
  • These additions enhance the authenticity of the training experience.
  • The unit is assembled using 7/8 stud and bolt sets for secure and reliable operation.
  • To facilitate training activities, the unit comes with a selection of gaskets that can be used for maintenance tasks and emergency tube repairs.
  • Trainees can practice repairing or replacing leaking tubes, simulating real-world scenarios.
  • Additionally, the trainer can be customizedwith optional components to match specific applications or requirements.
  • Options such as a dye penetrant kit, rolling machine, pneumatic hammer with accessories, heavy-duty disk/angle grinder, and heavy-duty end grinder with wheel can be added to extend the system's performance capabilities.
  • For ease of mobility, the trainer is equipped with heavy-duty caster wheels.
  • These wheels allow for easy transportation, and the foot-operated brakes ensure stability by securely locking the wheels in place.
  • This feature enables trainees to position the heat exchanger trainer as needed for efficient training sessions.
