Load Testing Frame is designed to allow trainees to perform steelwork and civil engineering tests and experiments. Components used for this trainer are of the same scale of those used in real-life load tests. The trainer is a large standalone frame with five accessory attachments to establish various types of loads and tests and demonstrate the load reaction to be recorded and analyzed. The trainer is supplied with a measuring amplifier with a software to manage the measured values and display the member forces graphically.

  • The trainer consists of a very durable large double-sided frame which is supplied as disassembled parts to be reassembled in laboratory to facilitate moving it, in addition to five kits to be installed to the frame.
  • The frame is supplied with four adjustable and vibration-damping supports in order to eliminate any external factors that can negatively affect the tests.
  • The double-sided feature of the frame enables to install large components such as reinforced concrete beams, girders and steel frames, which are supplied with the frame, to be subjected to loads and studied experimentally.
  • The frame is designed in such a way that allows to install components fast and easily.
  • Standard Accessories for Load Testing Code: (ST113.01)
  • This attachment includes all components required to assemble fixed and movable bearings and brackets for dial gauges in two different lengths.
  • The attachement includes supports to be positioned in the frame, on where large components are placed to be subjected to loads.
  • Movable bearing is also included in the kit to allow low-friction angular and longitudinal movement, while fixed bearings is included only to allow low- friction angular movement
  • Open (up to 50 kN) and closed (up to 200 kN) bearing blocks are included for different loads.

Hydraulic Loading Device, 2x200kN Code : (ST113.02)

  • This attachment includes two hydraulically operated loading devices, which each consists of a hydraulic double-acting cylinder and manually-operated pump.
  • The double-acting cylinder of each loading device acts as a press cylinder to generate both compressive and tensile forces or two equal forces in magnitude and opposite in direction in order to generate moment.
  • The bending is indicated by means of dial gauges.
  • The loading devices are mounted on rollers so they can be easily repositioned at any point on the upper cross-member of the frame.
  • The manually-operated pumps of loading devices should be settled on a table and connected to the press cylinders by high-pressure hoses and quick-release couplings.

Hydraulic loading device, 1x200kN Code : (ST113.03)

  • This attachment includes a hydraulically- operated loading device that consists of a hydraulic double-acting cylinder and manually-operated pump.
  • The double-acting cylinder acts as a press cylinder to generate both compressive and tensile forces.
  • The loading device is mounted on rollers so it can be easily repositioned at any point on the upper cross-member of the frame.
  • The manually-operated pump of the loading device should be settled on a table and is connected to the press cylinder by high-pressure hoses and quick- release couplings.

Dial Gauges Code : (ST113.04)

  • This attachment includes a set of six mechanical dial gauges to precisely measure mechanical deformation, displacements and distances resulted from loads ore loads reactions.
  • The dial gauges can be fixed at any point of the frame using six magnetic stands.

Plane Frame with Strain Gauge for Member Forces Measuring Code : (ST113.05)

  • This attachment includes an assembled plane truss, two load shoes, two compression plates and a strain gauge connection box.
  • The plane truss can be subjected to tensile or compressive load using the loading devices of Hydraulic Loading Device, 2x200kN or
  • Hydraulic loading device, 1x200kN depending on the experimental setup through a specially designed load shoe.
  • The support points of the truss are fitted with hardened base plates for statically determinate bearings of Standard Accessories for Load Testing.
  • Various load cases can be performed through experiments and the reaction to the load can be recorded and analyzed to demonstrate the load bearing capacity of the design.
  • The forces affecting to bars of the truss are measured by means of the pre- balanced strain gauges.
  • The deflection is indicated by means of dial gauges included in dial gauges.
  • In a connecting box, all measuring points are gathered and connected to the measuring amplifier.
  • The measuring amplifier comes with software for managing the measured data and graphically displaying the member forces.
